This Sunday's walk was great for spotting wildlife. Plenty of butterflies, but sadly not so many bees.
The start to the walk was a little confusing to find as the farmer had moved the paths but whilst we pondered the way a Red Kite flew calmly over our heads - totally ignoring us. This bird is still on the Amber endangered species list so It was lovely to see it up close like this, just floating effortlessly above the meadow.
A little while later we also spotted a deer, but could not identify it it due to the overgrown grass it swiftly jumped in to.
My thanks to those that came to the games evening (and actually let me win something!) However, I still seem to have the same amount of wine that needs drinking - so I guess there will need to be another event next month - watch this space!
